Caldera Cone Sidewinder

For a long while I've been "lusting after" a woodburning Caldera cone stove. When they came out with the Sidewinder model I orderd an anodized aluminun 3 cup pot & companion stove and the Inferno wodburning insert.

I was a bit skeptical but after using it with ESBIT at home and wood when snow camping I'm amazed at its efficiency and compactness. It all packs in the 3 cup pot. I can cook for 20 minutes with two large handsful of twigs. Very efficient.

Con: cleaning soot off the stove and pot is a pain - except in snow.

I picked up one of the 0.9L Evernew Ti pots a while back with plans of one day getting the Sidewinder to go with it... Gotta say though that I love my WBS too...so many great options out there...however, I do like the multi-fuel option with the sidewinder set-up..

I was skeptical about using Esbit with mine but discovered I really like it. Very efficient and easy to calculate exactly how much fuel for each day of the trip. Great stove.
