Head room in the Double Rainbow?

Can anyone who has a DR comment on the headroom. The Clip Flashlight that worked great when my son was 5 is cramped with a now 12 year old growing boy. Is almost impossible to do anything like sit and play cards for a while before bed. Can you do this in the DR?

Plenty of headroom in our D.R.
Could easily sit up and play cards with maybe 3 people.

I think the DR has plenty of space, about the same as a typical "normal weight" 2-person tent. If it helps with reference, my wife & I are 5'7" and 5'9", respectively, and both have slender builds. We keep most of the gear outside the tent.
