Sea to Summit Daypack - 11/22/09 09:03 PM

Just bought a Sea to Summit Daypack at 2.4 oz. They come in different colors and I thought they were really cool. I was able to stuff it full, more than I thought. Got my wind jacket, midweight fleece jacket, extra pair of socks, wool cap, vargo jet ti stove and msr propane, fleece liner and silk liner (summer sleeping bag), driducks and first aid kit. Figured if I had my Fleece jacket on I could carry my snow peak ti pots and a tarp tent. Anyway, it came to 2 lbs. with all the stuff in it. I would probably take a hydration pack as well and put the Daypack on over that because it does have adjustable straps. Don't know how well it will hold up but, we will see. The cool thing is even if I had my big backpack, I could carry this along in case I wanted to go short distances from camp.
Has anyone else tried this Daypack? smirk

It was retailing at $29.00 at my local camping store however, I had a coupon and paid $20.00. I got mine in green, but it comes in red, yellow and a royal blue color. Imagine a stuff sack but, made into a backpack. Like a said the straps may not hold up but they are double stiched. I figure even if I have this in my big back pack, I can always put wet clothes etc. in it. It stuffs down into it's own attached bag which is smaller than a deck of cards. However, I do think I will be using this for a daypack. This would also be nice for biking... wink
