hex 3 vs shangri- la 3

Ive been doin a little research and want to here a little more opinions..

I will either be finishing up the middle of the AT or do some of the PC with my largish dog..

And then maybe vagabond europe if I can

I like the 4 extra inches of headroom and extra ground space of the hex. But can get a good deal on a Shangrli.
Ive been thinking about useing a blue tarp for a pyramid,,,I can do my yoga swaying tree in it.. any other options

can the mesh be attached to the ceiling of the hex without a pole?

Any quick answers would be great cuz I have to jump on one of them directly?

At the peak of the Hex 3 both on the outside and inside there is a webbing loop. The outside loop is there so the peak can be held up by a line.
