Did this the other day because i realised that the 550ml Ti pot that comes with the Ti Caldera cone is of a very similar diameter to the JetBoil.
It works but not as fast as the original Ti pot except that I can boil up to 1 quart in it, (not that I would...) or cook a meal rather than just boil water and re-hydrate separately as I do.
Although a bit slower than a standard pot with the CC, it seems ( if left on the cone) to retain heat better than my Ti pot, provably better than a standard aluminium one too.
Not if you are looking at weight savings nor speed. Great if you happen to have the two in the first place and a personal finance minister (AKA "wife" )

I'm surprised that the aluminum JB pot, with the "Flux Ring" heat exchanger on the bottom is Slower than a Ti pot W/O the corrugated pot bottom ring.

I wonder what gives? I've found my JB 1.5 L. pot is always faster at boiling that my plain 1.5 L. pot. Maybe the Caldera Cone has something else going on. Even Primus Eta pots use a nearly identical heat exchanger ring for greater efficiency. Should a commission be established to get to the bottom of this? (No - wait - that never produces results.)

Tony Beasley ( a regular at BPL and a wiz with gas stoves...) had the same results as me . He cut his Jetboill down to a smaller size , I think to boil 500ml max, and that works very well with the gas stoves but not with alcohol. He suspects that the flow of the gas flame is impeded by the flux ring.
On the other hand he has had some great success with an ETA (1.5 or 1.7L ?) pot and his "Volcano" stove as well as the Trangia.
I suspect that your larger JetBoil pot will also work well with alcohol.
It seems to me that most of the heat is trapped by the ring as the cone does not even get hot during the burn, so I think that a Trangia under the larger fluxring pots and a standard windscreen combo should do well.
