Bare Boxer 202

It's a new canister, conditionally approved on the SIBBG list.

I'm not talking about the Contender which already has full approval. This appears to be a new product. But it's not on the Bear Boxer website. Google turned up zilch.

Has anybody actually seen one?

Sadly, there's no mention of URSACK on any SIBBG list. Nor that electric shock bag thingy. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

......And if anyone's interested, I was quite happy with my Contender last summer. It's like a mini-me Garcia and I was able to cram 4 days' worth of food in it.

Yes, that is peculiar. Here are the dimensions from their respective websites for those interested (not the Bare Boxer 202 though):

Garcia: 8.8" diameter, 12" length, 2.7 lbs.

Bare Boxer Contender: 7.4" diameter, 8" length, 1.75 lbs.

I may get a Contender for weekend trips.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I can't imagine the 202 being any smaller than the Contender because any dimension much less than 7-8 inches would allow a bear to pick up the canister with his mouth and carry it away.
