G4 Sewing question

Instruction 5.3.1 (sewing front to bottom) says to double stitch the front to the bottom. What is double stitch? I can think of a couple things that would fit (I always overthink things):

- Stitch left to right, then turn it around and go back over the same threads.
- Stitch left to right, then turn it around and run a parallel stitch.

Or is there another meaning to it?
