make your own gear, make your own chair

do you guys know Robinson Crusoe? I am sure if he had seen how to make these chairs, his life would have been easier.

That's pretty cool. I can see where it might work better in a Pine forest than a hardwood forest, but I think it could be done there too.

You'd have to use some pretty fresh downfall though, and carrying a saw ain't going to happen for me. I might test it out in my backyard though and if I can make one easy enough down there with no tools I might try it on a trip.
