I've had this ever since I found this forum. It would probably have to be done regionally, but it would be very informative if there were some sort of large get together where everyone put up their "camp" and people could wander around and ask questions and just discuss back country travel and camping. I know I would be interested in seeing other setups. Seeing what others do helps get the creative juices flowing. And really, backpacking is all about being creative and improvising. Just a thought...definitely some logistical issues with having any kind of a large group collecting in one area in the actual back country.
