As an introduction, nobody is used to snow out here and certainly doesn't know how to drive in it. Everything shuts down at the first flake. Those of us who moved here from snowier climes are scared to death to trust our safety to the Oregon "natives" who drive too fast for conditions and skid all over the roads.

February has been unusually snowy out here in the Pacific NW, so there have been lots of "snow days." The poor kids will be going to school most of the summer.

The Junction City, Oregon school district broadcast this video this morning:
The sounds of snow day

Enjoy!
