Though I've had good experience with my Kahtoola Micro-Spikes, I would like to find something that's a bit lighter. I see Vargo makes some titanium spikes. I hate the thought of hauling extra weight for days and miles. I've hauled mine and my wife's into the Grand Canyon in the end of March and never used them, as a possible snow event at the end of our trip never materialized. Where I live , near the Adirondacks and Greens, they are a trail staple, but a lighter model would be great. Anyone tried lighter models?
