Hiker Reported Being Shot in GSMNP

Since second link says it occurred in Cosby and Cocke County Sheriff is investigating, I'm betting it has to do with marijuana. Cocke County is notorious for growing marijuana and distilling moonshine.

That statement is a bit fishy, but the current info on this is sketchy, so it's hard to jump to a conclusion. It could just as easily be he was fiddling with a semi-auto sidearm.

Wouldn't be the first time someone shot themselves with their own firearm.
