Here's an item that just might be the ticket for those who don't like bags or quilts.

There are others to varying degrees, including Kifaru (modular), JRB (poncho style), Exped Wallcreeper, Speer Frog Sac (no longer made?), WM linelite (arm holes and footbox can be pulled up to walk in).

I know, but these seem more like the Teletubbie variety.

I own the Exped Wallcreeper and I love it. I'm a side sleeper and prefer to sleep with my arms outside of the bag so that they can move freely. I love being able to take the bag with me if I have to get up in the middle of the night when nature calls. I just wish they made the same bag rated to 20F. Mine is more like a 40F bag.

4.3 lbs. for a 40-45 degree bag? Ouch!

Feathered Friends makes two of different temp ratings, Wren and maybe Swift.

We had a similar discussion about this "bag" on Trailspace. The idea of a wearable sleeping bag isn't exactly new. They are called down suits. TNF makes one, or at least used to; so does Bask (a Russian company) and others.

I have what amounts to a wearable bag-I could sleep in my parka and insulated pants; not that I would want to, but I could.

This is a goofy idea and no one can possibly convince me otherwise.

I have a FF Rock Wren. I don't mind being able to get up for night call or breakfast and not have to get out of my sleeping bag.

Those KIFARU Regulator sleeping bags posted in a couple of threads ago, come in sections so that you can wear any part of them and adjust for conditions as needed.
