Return to Sleeping Bags

NOTE: specific sleeping bag measurements (shoulder, hip and foot measurement) are available for each bag as part of its individual specifications.

Western Mountaineering has designed three different 'cuts' or widths of sleeping bags for different sleeping needs.

The Native Americans (slim cut), North American Mammals (moderate cut) and Trees (wide cut). Unless you thrash around at night, a slim or moderate cut should fit you.

The Apache is a slim cut, ideal for smaller, thinner body shapes. It also sleeps very warm, ideal for women who sleep cold.

The Antelope is a moderately cut bag ideal for colder conditions. Both the Apache and the Antelope are available in microfiber and Gore Windstopper™ 830 fabric shells and in 5'6", 6' and 6'6" lengths.
