Backpacking Food

This website provides a resource for backpacking food and associated camping food accessories for eating well while backpacking and camping. Fine backcountry cuisine along with cookware, stoves and other backpacking cooking supplies to keep you well and happily fed in the backcountry.

Quality food for the backcountry! .

The intent of this website is to make available, in one place, a variety of quality backpacking food and accessories. We have teamed with WildernessDining.com and other vendors, to bring you some of the best backpacking food available today. My personal favorites are the meals from Mary Janes Farm. Their packages are lightweight, the food is organic, fresh and not salty, unlike some others that I've tried. The packaging is a lightweight paper-base product that is easily packed-out subsequent to enjoying the contents. Mary Janes Farm is a serious improvement to the salty, freeze-dried meals in heavy packaging that I used to carry and consume while on the trail.

If you enjoy quality dried fruits and vegetables, try Just Tomatoes, or, if you prefer to dry your own backpacking food, we suggest dehydrators from Dry It.

In addition to the fine foods and accessories, this site also includes a section on Backpacking Food Books and a Backpacking Food Discussion page within which you can also publish your favorite trail food recipes.

Camping Food & Supplies

Some of the products that we carry in the Backpacking Food store are: bearvault, esbit stove, mary janes farm, mountain house, alpenaire, backpacker's pantry, bakepacker, cabin cuisine, camping gaz, backpacking stoves, esbit, enertia trail food, gatorade, esbit tabs, gsi outdoors, just tomatoes, food dehydrators, mcnett, nalgene, mary janes farm, cabin cuisine, camp food, portion pac, condiments, squeezers, pur, garcia machines, garcia bear canisters, bear proof cans, coleman, dried fruit, and dried vegetables for dining pleasure, while you are in the backcountry.
