Yep--this is a very easy way to do this. But bear in mind that local conditions change, and the permit is subject to local conditions. SO yes, you have a permit---but that permit is not valid if there are special restrictions in place. And in this crazy fire season, that is quite likely.

Check with the local office of the USFS to make sure you can have a fire where you plan to have one...
