The andersj site is incredible and I need to check out more of shelby kaava.
I have made a couple fleece hats that I simply traced the pattern from an existing hat. While they did not turn out perfect, they worked. Unfortunately I prefer hats I aquired along the way, so do not use any homemade hats. Simple patterns from your local fabric store would work and be fairly cheap. Ever concider knitting?
