Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with these two companies? The Yanes Sentinel 2 and the Alps Mountaineering gradient 2 or 3 are the tents that I am most interested in (on sale). I have tried to compare the two spec sheets but I really don't know enough to know how to compare materials or anything like that.

About me and my plans:
5'11", 220 lbs, athletic build in good general shape from sports and distance running, cycling and swimming.
Most common trips would be some canoe trips, some backpacking overnight or weekend trips. I am very inexperienced with anything beyond car camping. I would most often be travelling with my Gf (5'7" 130lbs) for the backpacking. I we are in Central/Northern Ontario (Sudbury just in case anyone happens to recognize it) and would likely be doing some of the trips in Algonquin Park and Manitoulin.

I am not very interested in tarps or UL tents. Budget is capped around 250cad. Would be willing to ante up a bit more if it was a great deal (I.e. High end tent on really good sale).

Thanks!

I will copy and paste some of the manufacturing info from each tent below.
