As a fellow mountain biker, I've had deers to run along me and across from me while riding at a local state park. I've actually imagine that one of these days a deer going to collide with me...I hope that day never comes. grin

When I was in basic training in Georgia, that happened to one of the other recruits. We were all ruck marching (hiking with packs in a long single file line) on a trail. We are suppose to keep a distance between each other, but we weren't (new recruits and all). Anyways, the front of the line spooked a doe. She ran down along the line and then decided to cross the line. There weren't any holes in the line, so she just ran through knocking two guys down.
