I recently bought a msr miniworks water filter (new from a small local store). Included in the paperwork was a registration card that stated by registering you were entered into a giveaway drawing for a thermarest trail lite mattress, a sealline widemouth duffle, msr pocketrocket stove, and platypus big zip II reservoir. The link it said to go to is http://www.cascadedesigns.com/registration08/
I went to the link, and it said its invalid or whatever. There is no information on the card about a start or end date for the drawing, but I suspect the 08 on the end of the link means it was from 2008. Seems like a long time for a product to be in a store. It also seems odd to me that there is no fine print restricting the time frame for the drawing. Does anyone know if that offer is that old?

Try this link:

I suspect they moved the link and never updated the cards. Most places don't stock a 3-year supply of merchandise, so I doubt yours was in the store that long; more likely, MSR is just using up the supply of outdated inserts.

That link worked. Thank you very much.

This is a VERY small place that I honestly didnt even know was here before looking in the phone book to try to find somewhere to check out the filter at. So I wouldn't be suprized at all if it had been there that long. I know one of the small hunting stores I go to has stuff that has been on the shelf that long or longer, and its a bigger place than the one I got the filter at. Either way, I got the registration done.
