I work for REI and have tried most of the tents out there I think for the weight the fly creek (which I use most of the time) has the best ventilation every tarp tent I have tried have had a LOT of condensation, the people who like them may be using them in low humidity situation, I live in michigan and a tarp tent is a sweat box here, I hope this helps.

I'm sorry, but every time I see the title of this thread, I think, "What about condensation in P-51 Mustangs, or Hawker Hurricanes? What about condensation in the Messerschmidts on the opposite side? Did condensation cease to be a problem with the advent of combat jet aircraft?
I was growing up during WWII, and I guess my neurons are still somewhat warped...
I have resisted posting this for days, but the Devil (he looks a lot like Jim Shaw, or maybe Phat) made me do it....

I do it because I can...it also helps that you are not there...
Given the three finalists, I don't think you can make a bad decision - all three have good reputations, and the vendors all have pretty solid records for customer service.
I voted for the Seedhouse SL2, but only because I have a bias toward all-mesh tents I can pitch without a rainfly in the dead of summer.
"I voted for the Seedhouse SL2, but only because I have a bias toward all-mesh tents I can pitch without a rainfly in the dead of summer." You can do that with the Scarp if you have the extra poles, however my way would be just to open up the sides and use the mesh inner. That is one of the advantages of having two side doors And of course I prefer a dry set-up, not that relevant in non rain prone areas.
Franco (you need to imagine the mesh inner for this...) BTW, I did not vote since I am a bit too close to Tarptent for that...
You'll get no argument from me. I haven't looked at the Scarp, since I'm very satisfied with my CR1, but I have no reason to doubt its quality or suitability for the poster's purpose.
I voted for the Seedhouse because I knew it, not because I thought it was better. As the voting is showing, they're both good tents.
