neat! i love instructables! though I'm not sure how effective it would be as far as keeping weight down. what about using whatever cooking equipment you already have to make a "biscuit" or "pancake" shaped bread instead of tossing another altoids tin in to your pack?
Healthy: Replace half or all the selfrising white flour with any other flour. If no selfrising flour is used, then add 1 tsp baking powder per cup of any flour to make it rise. Try different flours if you are a bread freak. I like Red Mill Oat bran cereal (which is really just a flour and found in all supermarkets western US).
On the trail artificial sweetner packets instead of sugar to keep Yogi and the ants away.
