Bill, how did you make the Rosolio? With roses, rose water, or rose geranium, or something else? I've made limoncello with Everclear, just adjusted the amount of water I added, and that turned out pretty well. I've never tasted Rosolio but it sounds like something I would love.

I used Pure Bulgarian Rose Oil.

I should add that the little 1 gram Rose oil souvenir vials they sell there make a really good gift for Valentines Day, Christmas, Birthdays, etc. My wife and daughters love it. They dab a bit on like perfume. It is indeed, one of the most expensive bases for perfumes there is. I carry an old vile with most all the time. I take it out and take a few whiffs now and then. It's amazing stuff. It makes you feel really good when you huff a little of it. Instant "Aroma Therapy".

It's powerful stuff too. I added one drop to a quart of liqueur and it was too much. Like I said, it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but wasn't terrible and could have certainly been improved with a little experimentation. Here's the basic recipe I used.

Bring 1 cup water to a boil and add 1 cup (might have been 2 cups) sugar to make a syrup.

Add Rose Oil to 2 cups Everclear.

Add about 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract.

I might have added a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg too.

Stir it up and add the syrup.

I added a little red food coloring too.

There are recipes on the web you can find too.

There is a legend that an old Sicilian doctor created it for medicinal purposes. Soon he had women from all over coming to buy his Rosoiio. He found out their husbands were sending them. Supposedly it has a side effect that makes women amorous

jonnycat - when is the last time you bought denatured? It is, and has been over 5.50 for more than a year in East Tennessee.

Cuban tarp, Polycryo ground sheet, Montbell U.L. 90 pad, WM highlite bag, Montbell U.L. down jacket, Ti wing esbit stove, SP 600 mug, and a Zilch pack by Zpacks, along with all the cuben sacks to hold everything.

But who's bragging

Well, I made a stove with a standard pop can and it took me a few trials to get it working right, but once I got it right it worked great. I was very impressed. Such a simple design, you just got to love it.

The Everclear makes a great fuel too.

Then I made another stove out of big (20oz) Busch Beer cans (and I didn't even have to drink the beer!) so the stove I'll be using is a little bigger than a standard soda pop can. I set one of those stainless steel "Apple Slicers" on top of the stove to use as a grate and lift the cooking vessel off the fire a bit to even out the heat.

Then I got a stainless steel "Tea Ball" and put some coarsely ground coffee in it and placed it in my Coleman Stainless Steel cup 3/4 filled with water, lit the stove, and placed the cup on the grate. It made amazingly good coffee, very quickly, and with little effort or fuss.

I may end up selling my Exponent stove. I just don't think I'll be using it anymore.

The apple slicer and t-ball is a great idea. You may find that the larger stove is not needed and will use more fuel. I tried using a large heine can to make a stove and it heated with a vengence but used more fuel. I do like my pop can stove and it is my choice because it works great, sips fuel and is very light. My next choice is the heavier brass Trangia I bought online. After burning both the trangia and the popcan I think they both do the basic same job on 1oz of fuel. Your results may vary.
