I am so sad. Lost my awesome Campmor fleece jacket - 01/15/08 01:23 PM

In the middle of my road trip I noticed that my Campmor fleece jacket was missing, probably from forgetting to pick it up from the motel or a restaurant. Calling around, it didn't seem like anyone had picked it up.

Very similar to this (this one might be an updated version of my jacket):

I've had this thing for years. Probably the best jacket I've ever worn.

1. Two internal zippered pockets large enough to hold a standard sheet of paper folded in half.
2. Slim Fit - not some wide American sizing - this is a BIG problem that I find with nearly all clothing in this country
3. Two zippered hand warmer pockets
4. Elastic drawcord waist
5. Pit Zips - AWESOME
6. Collar that fit around my neck nice and snug - again, this was sized slim, a lot of jackets sized for Americans have wider collars and I lose heat like mad through these
7. Zippered chest pocket
8. I think it was only $40-$60
9. Oh yeah, they even had buttoned loops at the cuffs for attaching gloves.

Are there any jackets that can fit this description? The pit zips and handwarmer pockets are absolutely essential, as I use these all the time. The big internal pockets are extremely handy for things like airplane tickets. Slim fit would also be incredibly nice. One of the reasons this thing was warmer that usual is because of the slim fit - not as much dead air to heat up, very little heat loss from openings, etc.

Checked Campmor and they don't seem to make it anymore.

Call the resturant and get the manager on the phone. You probably left it on the back of the chair, as I have a zillion times. I'm feed warm and ready to go, never even give the chair a second look

If you left it at the hotel the manager there should check who cleaned your room, those workers genrerally stay the same, so if they thoguht it was a tip, you can retireve it. Good luck, I know how clothes are

Being the skinny type, I have the same problem. Fit, that is, not losing jackets

You might look at the North Face Denali jacket in kid's size L or XL.

Or, maybe look at:

Unfortunately, I already called the restaurant and they actually went through their lost and found. They came up with many articles of clothing, but none that were mine.

The motel? God. The owner is some older Indian immigrant with an accent so thick I can't understand him. To top it off, he likes to talk fast and gets irritated when you say, "what?" And he doesn't seem to give a [Edited for inappropriate languge, please review forum policies for more information] about his customers.

I called him in the morning and said that I was missing a black jacket, that I was either in room 21 or 24, and he said "okIgolookforitcallmebacksometime" and it seemed like he was about to hang up so I told him my name and he said "ok*click*"

I called him later and I think (couldn't tell by his accent) he yelled at me and said "NO,NO onehasseenjacket*click*"

Time to bow your head in silence, hope the jacket will keep another person warm...and move on.
