1) Do the lights in nearby cities dim and flicker when you fire it up?

2) Does it come in a titanium version?

That thing is pretty scary. I mean, what if you just wave it over your own arm? Will it burn your skin? Or what if you point it into someone's eyes? Will it damage them?

Did you watch their video? They do light stuff on fire with it. I didn't see one where they cooked an egg though.

They're not really very clear on the skin burning feature on their website. It'd probably suck pretty bad if it turned on by itself in your backpack though.

Saw some posts about this light on the Candlepower website (see my post in Gadgets for the site link). This light is heavy, 610 grams, only runs for 10-40 minutes, probably just 10 on full power. Not sure why anyone would need one, military maybe.

Maybe to take down those pesky satellites that clutter up the night sky? Wasp nests? Trail clearing?
Yeah, 10 to 40 min. is pretty much useless. The secret to this thing is the reflector focus. Like the sun and a magnifying glass.
