Same here. Unfortunately, one of the storm systems that are forecast to merge with Sandy by tomorrow is coming from our neck of the woods.

This storm is forecast to be very similar to the Columbus Day storm of 1962, which battered the northern California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia coast with winds well in excess of 100 mph. My family moved from Oregon to Nevada about 6 weeks before, so we just missed it--but heard plenty from our friends back in Corvallis, OR.
