Skysail, don't have a link handy, but the source is the AT Conservancy in Harper's Ferry. Just Google it. They have a very good, and very well-managed, bookstore, and you can reach it through the website. There is a guide (and maps) for at least each state, sometimes more than one. If you're thinking of hiking thru, they offer a discounted package of the latest editions of all the guides and maps, plus the little distance guide, each year just before thru-hiking season, I think in January or February. best, jcp

I used AWOL's AT Guide last year and found it to be quite good. I liked the fact that you can get it in either SOBO or NOBO versions, and can also order it unbound, which saved a step. There are multiple guide options, and I think you can't go too far wrong, but if hiking the trail again I'd just go with AWOL's guide.
