I use this one:
http://www.rivertorivertrailguide.com/ It has point to point mileage.
I went to Springfield and picked it up personally. It has some good GPS points and tips. It is best going east to west with it because when I tried going west to east, I kept getting my ‘backwards’ mixed up.
I got a map from the USGS sight. However, what it claims is the River to River Trail and what is marked in the woods are usually two different things. That’s why it’s nice to have a GPS to know where you REALLY are.
I just wish there were way more GPS points in the guide because I got lost a few times. There are more forks in the woods than there are on the map
.
Anyway, the guide was nice to locate water and camping spots.
You’re going out when I’m going backpacking
. We’re probably heading to the MO Ozarks.
