Hiking Shenendoah NP over Memorial Day????

Hi,
I am thinking of making a 2 night trip in the Shenendoah national park around the Matthews Arm area over Memorial Day weekend.

I am a bit concerned that it may be totally mobbed there and that even the backcountry sites may be occupied.

Any thoughts? Should I wait until another weekend?

I imagine the holiday weekend combined with a possibility of thru-hikers coming through could make for crowded trails...
I've never been to SNP though, unfortunately, so I can't say for sure. You might be far enough north that thru-hikers are few.
