I know that these bags are a bit on the heavy side, but I was wondering if anyone knew about the quality of them?
Because you just can't beat a sale price like that.

The lightest one is over 4 lbs and rated a zero degrees. So, if you're camping in cold weather just a few nights a year it might be a workable choice just because it's so cheap and you can get out there, but I'd test it on a 20+ degree night before heading out with it.

For nights above 50 degrees it might be too warm and it's heavy, so it's a bad option, even at $20.

But, to have as a spare to loan to a friend it's a pretty decent option wink

What Bill said, however. a lot of us started out with heavier bags, depends on your needs and commitment.

Depends on how good a friend, and whether you want to keep the friendship. grin

I've had one of these bags for about 10 years now. Got the one
rated 0 degrees. Sleeps hot in 40 degree weather and real
comfortable in the mid 20's. Good thing is the dual zippers so
you can vent it when you start to get toasty. Not sure if the
fill is the same, somehow I'm thinking Holofil(?). Mostly use
it hunting in the fall, but have used it packing, I just dont
zip it up.
