Closing a Post

How do I close a post and subject that I started.

Moderators can lock a thread, but not regular members. Generally, once a discussion starts, it belongs to the other participants just as much as to the person who starts the discussion. You could request your thread be locked, but it would be up to the moderators whether to honor your request.
