Right now there are winter storm warnings out for nine Oregon counties east of the Cascades, including where our Jimshaw lives! Better late than never, but I hope his rare plants don't freeze!

Interesting article on the Cliff Mass blog (atmospheric sciences professor at Univ. of WA) about rain dances and their modern equivalents. Governor Jerry Brown's Rain Dance Works

I had to water my lawn a week ago, was looking a little parched. Not too worried about Kalifornia watering mandates, I live along a creek and have a well. I'm a upstream user. A place I rode my motorcycle to a couple weeks ago to camp, back quite a few years ago, you would not access it until July. Then in the Wilderness, the lakes were still froze over July 4 weekend. Travel for a backpack trip was all over snow.

I should create a fiverr gig for rain dances.
