I'm interested in books about wilderness survival similar to my two favorites: Alone in the Wilderness and The Final Frontiersman. Both are true stories set in the wilds of Alaska. Any recommendations? (And please don't bother with Into The Wild. As stated in previous posts, that book was about simple stupidity and being unprepared.)

"98.6 degrees--The art of keeping your a$$ alive" , by Cody Lundin was really fun to read...hey, how about "Into the wild" ? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

i recently read and enjoyed "Ada Blackjack," by Jennifer Niven. it's the story of a doomed arctic expedition to Wrangell Island, the sole survivor and what happened after her rescue. The same author also wrote "The Ice Master," about an arctic expedition with a connection to the Ada Blackjack story.
