How do you wrap your quilt?

Do you wrap around as in test subject A or B?


I see a lot of directions for ‘A’ but it seems this leaves more dead space to warm up. If you wrap as in ‘B’ do the straps hit your back wrong?

Has anyone tried the MLD XP quilt?

The colder it is, the closer I wrap.

I don't have straps on my quilt. I have a ray way with the draft stopper that works dandy.

I'm a side sleeper so I look slightly different but I would say "A" when it's warmer and "B" when it gets colder. My quilt has no straps.

In reality it's a mixture of the two because I thrash about quite a bit.

If it's below 28 degrees or windy, I snap the neck and use the straps. Figure "B" is a good representation. In warmer, calmer conditions I just drape it and tuck where necessary. I have an Arc Alpinist . I also have a WM Tamarack that I use as a quilt. It has no snaps or straps, and works well for me to about 26 degrees(with my down jacket) Figure "B" applies there also.

Also would depend on the user wearing, or not, warm enough clothes to not get a chill on the back. If you wrap as in 'B', then you won't have a cold drafty back, but need to have sufficent clothes on to not feel cold in front IME with quilts.....in a hammock <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
