Macabi skirt - 05/08/08 08:23 AM

Has anyone ever used this skirt? I'm thinking of getting one but not sure of the length, etc. and how it performs on a windy and/or rainy day.

Thanks!

Love mine!

Btw, take a look on the site - they show models by height standing together. It is a neat way to see it.
I am 5'4" and wear a regular length. If I was traveling and wanted no ankle showing I would get the long. Short on me would be mid calf.

Btw, when in short and pant mode they are SO comfy!!

sarbar...do they make you look like a clown in pants?? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Also, I was reading a review that said the back of the skirt hangs lower, so hiking downhill isn't good. It drags. Have you had this experience?

Lol....ok, you have to believe in the skirt <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Yes, I am sure I look like an idiot when I have them bloomer style <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

On the hanging in the back though? I haven't had that problem - one of the reasons I got the regular length over long was so I wouldn't trip. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I got my MIL to buy one - she loves it for traveling to Europe <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> No wrinkles, wash in sink and hang to dry.
Met a lady in Arches wearing hers as well <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks! I was trying to figure their sizing. I wear between an 8-10 so not sure which way to go. Lately a M size is a tad big. I probably will lose weight on this hike, (I'm hoping...prolly eat too much Spanish cuisine).

Is their sizing true?

Go smaller - especially if you get the new styles that have the larger amount of elastic. I wear a size smaller than I do hiking pants. Mostly cause I can scootch it over my big ol' hips <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> lol!

Did you see the one they have for men? The guy turned it into a diaper on himself!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Lol!!!! That is sooooo wrong in so many ways.

One of my friends ex-boyfriend had the men's version and wore it everywhere. Thank god not in diaper style <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
