Well, I was strolling through my local Wally-world clothes dept, and I noticed they have thin nylon fishing shirts for about $18. Much better than paying 2-3 times as much for a Columbia or other name brand shirt made of the same material. Academy Sports in the SE USA has their name brand nylon fishing shirts for a little less. Same material, less price.

As you are in SLC, try checking out Precision MountainWear outlets (unfortunately they are in town only around christmas time). They always have good deals on their knockoff gore-tex shells and they are pretty light if you just stick with the shells.

I have used mine in a daypack-three-day uinta trip during the summer, and as my primary jacket on a three day snow trip in the wasatch during Feb.

Where are they, if only at Christmas?
