Try hammockforums.net. There are a lot of Whoopiesling fans there. I have never gotten into modifications of my Hennessy hammocks. The closest I've come is sewing elastic attachent points to the bias hem binding for my fleece tunic/bottom insulation. At least some Whoopie users replace the hanging lines entirely. That voids any warranty.

I also have seen Whoopie slings tied into the hanging lines. For me, there isn't enough advantage to justify additional weight.

Try YouTube. I think Shug Emery has a video on using these things. If not, sure enough, there are bunch of videos for you by other folks-some specifically on the Hennessy conversion-

Thanks Tom found a couple looks easy enough. CM, I beleive the Woopies will ae a ounce or actually shave a ounce or two. Dyneema is very light weight. The ease of setup is awsome with woopies

Whoopies may save a little weight if they replace the other suspension lines, but not if they are simply tied into the original line. (Some do this.) Again, replacing the lines voids the warranty. Notice in SGT Rock's video, the Prussics used to tension the fly give him trouble on the Whoopie line. People can do as they like with their hammocks. It is all part of HYOH. Just be aware of possible pitfalls.

Here is a link to a youtube video by Ken at hammockforums.net. Very easy to do and no risks involved. The first 3/4s or more shows how to make the whoopies but near the end he shows how to attach to a Hennessy. In the video he uses Amsteel but I have used the same method to attach dyneema whoopies to two of my Hennessys. Been using them for about three or four years. The dyneema whoopies save 2.6 ounces from Amsteel and about 4 ounces from stock Hennessy suspension.

Cutting 1/4 lb. can be a good thing. The warranty is for a year, so if a person thinks his hammock is doing OK and isn't concerned about warranty work, dyneema whoopies could be a great modification.

Sunshine the link didnt post. Thanks It looked easy enough in the other vids I saw. I am going to do it when I get a chance. I have the whoopies already. Cm Thanks for your concern but I have always felt warrantys are for deffective products, and I dont think my Hennessey Is deffective. Besides I could always reattach original ropes before I sent it in? LOL but thats not gonna happen! Fact is, If I end up on my old back in the middle of the night, It is my fault. I promise to throw the Hennessey in the fire pit, and walk out at first light!
Not Kidding, Patience isnt my virtue! Happy Trails!
