Except for bivy type tents like the Eureka spitfire2 and or kelty crestone 2 I personally have not heard of a two man bivy.

OR made a 2-person bug bivy with a mesh top and a single arched pole. I had one, sold it. Other than that I haven't seen anything.
If you want a breathable bivy for use under a tarp, and you can sew, you can make one for yourself.

That would be... cozy...
Course I'm not really fit to talk - I don't like myself enough to use a bivy very often... let alone like someone else enough to share one with them

I've never used a bivy, but I have seen double bivys (bivies?) listed several places. Try Oware and the BackpackingLight store.

Cesar,
I believe, in today's P.C. world a "2-man bivy" would be called a "2 companion bivy".
("Not that there's anything wrong with that.") hee,hee

I've got the OR 2-person bug bivy and I love it. Feels nearly as roomy as a 2-person tent. Weighs 24 ounces. Don't know of weatherproof 2-person bivy sacks.

Exactly. I think any bivy large enough to accommodate two people is really.........a small tent.

Dude, from what I've read of your posts and some of the helpful hints etc. I like you. But not enought to share a bivy with you. Probably not even a tent unless it was a survival situation. Besides, I snore..

Bothy bags aren't exactly what you're describing, but appear similar.
I don't know much about them but they look interesting, very British.

I've searched everywhere but no luck. It apperars OR is no longer making that bug bivy for 2. But that isn't exactly what i want anyways as I want something that will protect better against the elements. My thoughts were if I can get a 2 person bivy and use a 2 person quilt it would be a comfy setup and hold everything in place very well and help reduce drafts.
I guess my only option is making one. Problem is, my idea of sewing involves just stapling things together...

Erik, Why not design one, cut the material yourself and then take it to a tailor shop or seamstress and have them sew it up for you? They would have the heavy duty machines and could do the right kind of seam. A costume shop could also do it, if you are near one (as in LA or SF).
I think a lot of two person tents are almost too small for two people, let alone a bivy.
