Made my honey a new pillowcase for Valentines

Made a new pillowcase for backpacking for my honey tonight for Valentine's. The last one I made him had the opening across the back and not enuf velcro and the clothes would try and sneak out during the night. So I made him (and me too) a pillowcase that closes on the end with more velcro. I already wrapped it or I'd take a pic and show you...2 oz tho and nice soft cotton. But here's a link to mine:

Neat idea, I like it. Just curious, what's the advantage of hook and loop over a light zipper?

EDIT: Reliability maybe? I know I have trouble with zippers sometimes. Ooh, I bet one of those store-bought zippered pillow covers would work well for this, the kind that goes under your other pillow case. You might want to cut the size down a bit if you did that, though.

I just thought velcro was easier...and not as likely to break. Plus...my hubbie would be cussing and frustrated everytime he got the zipper stuck...LOL
