Trecking Pole Monopod - 10/18/09 07:46 PM

I was at Farm and Fleet this weekend. They had K Swiss Aluminum Trecking poles on sale for 6.99. Not near as light as Titanium, but when on a budget why not. I purchased one and was so Impressed, that I bought another. I then did a little creative thinking. I drilled out the top of the handle to accept a 1/4 20 tpi T nut. I epoxyed into place. I then made a adapter in the lathe with two thumb screws. This will screw direct to the base of my camera , just like my tripod. Works muck like a steady stick monopod.

A little enginuity goes a long way. And that's coming from a guy who's not a hiking stick/trekking pole user.
