I'd just buy a good pre-made one instead. It would be easier and more comfortable for your pooch!

Granite Gear makes a great dog pack as well as Mountainsmith and Kelty...REI, too. Check 'em out. Glad to help

Are you the Howie of "Hungry Howie" fame? If so, I just want to say thanks for sharing your quilt design so many years ago ... I made a down quilt, similar to yours and was very happy with it until it got stolen in Vancouver, BC.
