basket, pellet stove, multiaxe

Hi,
Here's a couple o'interesting shots. My wife and I finally took a college class class together, in this case, pine needle basket weaving. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />I picked up 10 inch needles from my from porch. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />


Then I bought another 40mm square miniature electric blower 12 VDC at Radio shack number 273-240. I soldered two of my wife alligator clips to the wires and I clip it to the terminals of a 9v battery.

This stove was made from a campbells soup can. The forced air tube is bent aluminum flashing. I used pellets because I have them, and I lit them with a propane torch, again because that's how I light my pellet stove in the living room.


The next stove is made from a stainless steel pan with Titanium tent stakes as pot rests.

that stove is really putting out the heat jim,i,d bet they probally noted the flaring from the space station .the ingenuity showen in this section is inspiring ,good post.

Jim, how is that multiaxe at shoveling snow?:) I'm sure you are getting pounded now. Three inches here so far. Your summer stove, does that do those tar plugs for roofing too? That thing is humungous.

Is that axe a wedge of cheese you found in the back of your fridge?

How long does the fuel last with a powered fan? As far as your axe, that's absolutly funny. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I have a steel wedge for spliting but wouldn't use it in the kitchen. Although mine is flatened out from hitting it with a sledgehammer, (another useful camp tool). <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

phat, that looks like a plastic felling wedge. Can't split with that thing unless it is balsam wood.

That's a very nice looking stove Jim.

For optimizing efficiency with that stove you should actually
raise the pot up a bit, 30 inches maybe, and go with one of these...

You may laugh at a plastic splitting wedge, but if you swing it fast enough, it can do some damage... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

These wedges are driven into a cut behind your chain saw blade to prevent pinching or to help free a stuck blade. They weigh around 2 ounces as I recall. There are actually many more uses for them:
1) small pillow
2) cracking nuts and acorns
3) leveling a leg of your camp chair or your stove
4) scraping hides
5) driving in tent pegs
6) breaking into your truck when you return to find the keys in the ignition and the doors locked
7) trail marker
8) Camera leveler stand

Now prehistoric bird calls sounds fascinating.

they work great for getting fiberglass parts out of stubborn molds too.

5000 yrs from now a Pleiadian archaeologist will dig up your plastic wedge and try to determine, from the scratches & dings left on it, what it was used for.

No way man, Back at all the Universities in Pleiades they'll all publish hundreds of papers with well supported theories about the bizzare yellow wedge shaped object, I mean there'll be the Pleiadian journal of astro-archeology, the Pleidian journal of regular polyhedrons, the Pleidian journal of yellow things... It will keep the Pleidian bureaucrats at the granting agencies busy for years handing out money for academics to have graduate students study an new theory about the mysterious yellow wedge..
