Altus customer support - 06/27/11 08:09 AM

I bought some nice 8.5 oz Altus Light Ascent trekking poles but, recently one of the expanders which locks the pole has broken.

Has anyone had experience with altus.es customer support? I've tried contacting them in the past, but I'm getting nothing.

In my opinion there's nothing worse for an outdoors company than bad customer support! I've emailed the head of international sales in addition to their customer support email but haven't received ANY response.

If anyone knows a better way to get in contact with them, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Sometimes email gets lost or ignored. Maybe a formal written letter would work better?

Have you tried the store from which you bought the poles?

Contacting them is difficult by snail mail as they are based in spain and I'm currently in Bolivia.
I bought the poles from Bolivia, which means any communications with the store would be useless!

If I don't get any help I may just contact them in the way you suggested.

Just found a facebook page. Maybe that will get me somewhere!
