Cool. Reminds me of an Akto but the extra optional poles make it free standing. Hope someone reviews it soon.

I volunteer to take one to Yosemite.

For a real 4 season adventure set that up at Camp 3 on K-2 -- of course use the high wind, snow load crossing poles.

This is what I like about this community, so many eager to volunteer their time and efforts. I once offered to try out a model called Claudia Schiffer but apparently was already out on loan for the next two decades.

It looks like a fine choice for moderate winter conditions and short term camps. For the kind of winter/winds/snow we get here in BC, however, I would tend to stick with my Hilleberg and Integral tents.
I do not consider the Akto a suitable winter tent for where I go and this one is similar, although may be a bit stronger. I do not believe in using gear that "might" work in remote wilderness at any time, especially in winter.
But, different regions each have their own situations and I can see where this rig would be ideal for many.

There is very little point pretending that it is going to be as strong as something like the Soulo but it is 40% lighter and possibly stronger than the Akto, a shelter that has a lot of satisfied customers and eager would be customers.
The main weaknesses of the Akto are condensation management, head room and sagging ends. The Scarp ( I think) has possibly improved and fixed all of those issues.
To some the lower price and the fact that it is made in the US may also be a factor.

Dangit! This thing is larger and lighter than my Akto...now I might have to buy another TT. I think this is some kind of conspiracy.
